NHBA Fall meeting – Oct 21, 2017

The NHBA Fall meeting will be held on October 21, 2017 from 9am-3pm.

It is hosted by Pemi-Baker Beekeepers Association

Chris Cripps: of Betterbee will be speaking on the relationship between nosema and dysentery, and small-scale wax production if there is time.  He is also willing to bring orders from Betterbee if anyone wants to order ahead to save shipping (space may be limited, contact starsha.nhba@gmail.com for more information).

Howland Blackiston: author.of ‘ Beekeeping for Dummies’, he has been a backyard beekeeper since 1984. He’s written many articles on beekeeping and appeared on dozens of television and radio programs. He is also the author of ‘Building Beehives For Dummies’.  He will be hosting Jeoporbee, a TV-style, trivia-filled game show.

We will have our annual Honey Contest.  To enter, bring one 8 oz jar of honey.

Pre-registration    by October 1 is required if you’d like a meal.


  1.    Take interstate 93 to exit 23
  2. Go West on Rte 104 for 5.7 miles thru the town of Bristol
  3. at the lights take Rte 3A North
  4. Stay on 3A for  4 miles
  5. The Town Hall will be on your left    (297 Mayhew Turnpike)
