Troy Hall of Hall Apiaries in Plainfield, NH is one of very few honey bee farmers in our state. Join us as he presents two talks on beekeeping:

“From Hobby to Business” (or “Money Pit to Sustainability”) and “Letting Go of the Romance, Times They Are a Changing”

Have you had the idea that beekeeping could go farther for you? Are you thinking that you would love to have a sideline business now or when you retire? Join us as Troy Hall takes us through his journey of doing just that.

Troy will also address how beekeeping must change with the times. Just as our agriculture and farming practices have changed, and our world’s environment is changing, beekeeping practices have changed. Commercial honey bee production (packages), mass queen production, and honey production all produce a different product then what you, the hobby beekeeper or the sideliner can as far as quality for success.

The event is open to public. Free for PBA and SBA members, $10 for non-members paid at door.
