Bee School Information

Winnipesaukee Beekeepers Association Bee School โ€“ Tuftonboro, NH

Club Bee School begins January 7th 2025 on Zoom โ€“ Tuesday & Thursday evenings with follow-up links to recorded content. This is a semester course held in partnership with Carroll County Adult Ed, offering a realistic amount of time to prepare to successfully keep bees in our northern New England climate with its long winters and short nectar flow season. Keeping bees is not required but mentoring is offered for those who do. Students will receive a beekeeperโ€™s calendar, apiary visits as required, discussion board access, and targeted videos of each session. We cover honey bee colony selection choices, management style varieties, biology, and interesting honey bee history and science.

$150 includes books: Storeyโ€™s Guide to Keeping Honey Bees & Penn State Honey Bees & Their Maladies

$225 for a household.

Taught by Athena Contus, MB with guest lecturers.

Call Crystal Sawyer 603 323-5100 or email her at csawyer@nhadulted.org to sign up. Detailed info and online payment option at athenasbees.com
